They are icky and I don't like them. They freak me out. Any bug that will embed itself in you is just wrong! Luckily I caught this one very early and it didn't have much of a chance to latch on. I did pull it out with tweezers and it came out fairly easily. Being paranoid about lime disease and stuff I made sure to wipe the area with disinfectant. Now it just looks like a typical bug bite. Still, its icky looking down and seeing this bug sticking out of your skin knowing it will gorge itself on your blood. It's like a mini vampire that attaches itself to you.
At work we all take our lunch at the same time so on Fridays we typically go out as a group and go to Five Guys for hamburgers and massive amounts of french fries. We have dubbed it Five Guys Friday. Last night I was watching one of the nighttime news shows like Nightline or something and they were doing a day in the life at the White House. They followed President Obama around as well as some of his main advisers and stuff. They showed how he will take an unscheduled undisclosed trip out of the white house and that night he was walking around asking people if they wanted a burger and then he went to Five Guys!!!! You know I was totally excited thinking I am SSOOO cool now because I eat at the same burger chain as the President! :)
I have a new euphemism for going to the restroom. When we leave at work we usually let someone know that we will be right back or that we are going to the restroom or some sort of heads up that we are stepping away for just a moment. Yesterday as one of the girls was coming out of the stall a guy walked into the women's restroom, looked around, paused, then settled for going into a stall. The girl was so appalled that she didn't even have the presence of mind to tell him that he can find a urinal in the men's room. Now I know where to go to meet men at my company - go to the restroom! That's what I tell them now when I step away to visit the restroom, that I'm going to meet some men. ;)
