It's very hot and still fairly dry so the fireflies are out. I love fireflies! They are such a fun freakish bug. I mean seriously, who doesn't love a bug that lights up?! Its fun to go out after dark and just look and see all these little random twinkles. It's almost as if your eyes are playing tricks on you. You know, if you had been drinking a lot then went out and saw all the fireflies, it would really mess with your brain. You would have to wonder if it was the bugs or the alcohol. Oh - the combination of both might just make for a really sparkly blurry evening!!
There is a new law around here. This is the reason there are jokes and stereotypes about the south...a law has passed that you may now carry a gun into a restaurant. Now it is still illegal in "bars" but if you were eating with the family at Denny's by all means, we welcome your firearm!!!! Even places that serve alcohol like TGI Friday's allow them. Actually it got voted down but the governor approved it. Guns and food are a go! Yeah, I'd like to order the fried catfish and you got extra napkins, I'm just gonna clean my gun while I'm waiting. I imagine that customer service will improve since half the restaurant could be armed...
Just so you know...it's really boring with both kids gone. zzzzzzzzzz!

Who doesn't love the lightning bugs? That is the one thing I truly miss from my childhood in NY. We loved to catch some in jars for a little while and watch how they sparkled! I can't understand why they aren't here in the Pac NW. Do as the birds do...fly south for the winter! Sheesh. :)
Your state is starting to sound like Wyoming! Are you allowed to put your firearm on a gun rack in your truck? Whooeee...I reckon that's what makes you fit in...mmmhmmm.
